Nordic Crisps known as knækbrød or knekkebrød is a hard type of rye bread with less than 10% water making it a shelf stable food item.  In Scandinavia knækbrød has been around for centuries and is enjoyed as a part of a meal.

Hungry Bird Eats was founded in Brooklyn by Tina Diep, who was born and raised in Denmark the daughter of Vietnamese refugees. Tina started the company to share the wonderful Danish knækbrød (or crispbread) of her childhood, and to make a more natural and organic snack option for her young son, who has nuts and soy allergy.

Hungry Bird Eats 의 창립자 Tina Diep 은 덴마크에서 베트남 난민 부모님 밑에 태어나 자랐어요.  어릴적 먹었던  크네케브뢰드를 너트와 대두 알러지가 있는 아들과 함께 나누고 싶어 오가닉 재료를 사용하여 직접 크네케브뢰드를 만들기 시작하여 Hungry Bird Eats 가 창립하게 되었어요.
