Storage Method

• Due to soil or glaze ingredients, black spots may be present on the surface.

• The edges of the Sando line are densely matured at a high temperature of 1250℃ (2282℉), making it food-stain-resistant.

• Soil Baker ceramics are dishwasher and microwave safe.

• Not suitable for oven and direct heat cooking as pottery may crack.

• Scratch marks that appear on matte pottery are not the glaze coming off but are made when the surface comes in contact with hardened iron.  Pottery can be used normally. The use of wooden cutlery is recommended to prevent scratches.

• Using a soft dish sponge is recommended when cleaning.  Do not soak in water for long periods. 

About 

Tamano Eri is a Japanese ceramic artist who studied pottery at Tokyo University of the Arts and is currently based in South Korea. Specializing in handmade tea ware, she focuses on creating functional yet artistic pieces. Her work aims to convey the warmth of the artist’s touch, while ensuring the designs are gentle and seamlessly integrate into daily life, making them both beautiful and practical.

타마노 에리는 동경 예술대학에서 도예를 공부하고 한국에서 활동 중인 일본인 도예가입니다. 하나하나 수작업으로 만들어 낼 수 있는 물건에 중점을 두어 작업을 하며 주로 다기류를 만들고 있지요. 작가의 손을 통해 따뜻함을 전하면서도 작가의 고집을 드러내기 보다는 사용하는 사람의 일상에 부드럽게 다가 갈 수 있는 그런 다기를 만들고자 합니다.

This Tamano Eri Dongguri Teapot and Teacup Set is crafted with ivory-colored clay to achieve a soft, child-like texture, and features round shapes that complement the color. To create the desired color and finish, both the clay and glaze must be applied thickly, making the process intricate and delicate. 아이의 빰과 같은 부드러운 질감을 만들기 위해 화장토의 색상을 아이보리로 하고 색상에 어울리는 동그란 모양으로 제작한 다관 찻잔 세트입니다. 원하는 색상을 나타내기 위해서는 화장토도 유약도 꽤 두껍게 바르지 않으면 안되는, 어렵고 섬세한 작업을 통해 완성되었어요. 무심결에 만지고 싶어지는 다기이기를 바라며 만들었다고 해요. 손님이 오셨을 때는 물론이고 혼자만의 특별한 시간을 음미하고 싶을 때 곁에 둘 수 있는 찻잔 세트입니다.
