Storage Method:
Please keep this rice in the refrigerator. Our farmers use a little amount of pesticide and skip the smokey pesticide process which eliminates even bug eggs. Storing the rice in a moist or warm area can possibly hatch rice eggs that are not removed because of the farmers minimal processing. Storage in the refrigerator will also maintain the freshness.

Taller rice crops often taste better but are produced in lower numbers because they are susceptible to wind damage. Golden Queen III combines the flavor and richness of a taller rice crop with the sustainability of a shorter rice crop - the best of both worlds!
Upon arrival in New York, we store the rice in low moisture and low temperature environments until an order is placed, custom milling the rice to varying flavor profiles.
0% Polish
Brown rice is high in healthy bacteria, vitamins, and minerals because of the bran left on the rice. Because of this, we recommend cooking brown rice a bit longer and to chew it a bit more thoroughly to help with digestion.
30% Polish
By polishing only a bit of the outer bran off, we remove the paraffin layer which is a bit harder to digest, yet keeping a high amount of the bran nutrients.
50% Polish
The perfect midpoint between the nutrition of brown rice and the sweetness of white rice.
70% Polish
Rice that has been polished 70% is more approachable for white rice lovers while having a bit more nutrition.
White Rice (100% Polish)
The sweetest level of rice is made by removing all rice bran parts (pericarp, seed coat, and aleurone layer).
Cooking Instructions for stovetop
We usually cook our rice (water about 3/4 to 1 inch higher than the rice/a little more water for brown rice) on the stovetop by bringing the rice to a boil without the lid. Once boiling, lower the heat and cover with the lid for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, turn off the heat and leave to the side for another 10 minutes. Enjoy!
