This is a sparkling juice that is, first and last, shine muscat: 99% cold-pressed juice, no water added, lifted by only carbonation and a little vitamin C. It's never built from concentrate. It's the fresh-pressed juice of a single Sangju harvest, canned as it is, so the first sip opens with the clear, heady aroma that only ripe shine muscat carries.

Pressed, never from concentrate

What sets this apart from an ordinary juice made from concentrate is how little comes between the vine and the can. The shine muscat from around ten bunches is picked berry by berry, by hand, then cold-pressed at an HACCP-certified facility. Nothing is reconstituted and nothing is watered back down, so the fruit's signature aroma and its deep, full flavor carry straight through into the glass.

Only high-Brix Sangju shine muscat

It's all shine muscat grown in Sangju, North Gyeongsang, one of Korea's foremost regions for the variety, where Shinefresh keeps its vines high in the hills at the tail of the Baekdudaegan range, around 300 meters up. They're raised out in the open field through all four seasons rather than under glass, and the wide day-to-night temperature swing packs sugar into every berry. Only the ripest bunches are kept: the fruit is chosen so that even the lowest berry on a bunch reads at least 20 Brix, the point where shine muscat turns deep, honeyed, and intensely aromatic.

How to enjoy it

With no alcohol, no caffeine, and nothing artificial added, it's a can the whole table can share, expecting mothers included. Chilled and poured straight from the can, it shows the pressed fruit at its clearest. It stands up beautifully to rich, spicy, or fried food, where the fine bubbles cut through and reset the palate between bites. For the grown-ups, use it in place of tonic in a highball and it turns an ordinary glass fragrant and full of fruit. It's a premium pour for anyone who wants real shine muscat and won't give up the crisp lift of the fizz.
