About

Mujagi bowls are made in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, which is a representative pottery production area in Korea. The production process of mujagi is simple but special. First, clay is prepared to become the product with high-purity white clay that has been filtered of impurities. Then, it takes shape through the hands of mujagi artisans. After that, it is born as clean pottery through two firing procedures. The pottery by artist Sim Bo-geun, who uses flowers on the roadside as a motif, adds detail to the clear and plain white porcelain, filling the daily tabletop with small happiness.

무자기 그릇은 한국을 대표하는 도자기 산지, 경기도 이천에서 탄생합니다. 불순물을 꼼꼼히 걸러낸 고순도 백자 흙을 빚어 형태를 만들고, 900도의 초벌과 1,250도 이상의 재벌을 거쳐 매끈하고 단단한 백자로 완성됩니다. 단순하지만 정직한 과정이 무자기 특유의 맑은 결을 만들어 줍니다.
