One scoop, measured just right

The difference between a scoop you trust and one you second-guess is consistency. Carved from a single piece of solid wood, this one has a rounded bowl about 4.5cm across that holds roughly 10g of beans—about 1.5 tablespoons—so you get the same pour every morning without reaching for a measuring spoon. Shaped from one block and finished with natural beeswax, it keeps a defined grain and stays simple to look after, and no two are exactly alike.

How to use it

Keep it with your beans and it's always on hand—one level scoop to measure out coffee, or to portion other grains, tea, and spices just as easily. Compact enough to live right inside the bean container, it's ready whenever you are. Hand wash and dry it instead of leaving it to soak, and keep it out of the dishwasher and away from high heat, which can warp or crack wood over time. Work in a little food-safe oil now and then, and the more you use and care for it, the deeper and more beautiful the wood becomes. It makes a thoughtful gift for the coffee lover in your life, too.

이곳의 모든 물건은 실제 일상의 쓰임에서 출발해요. 최재진 작가가 집에서 직접 쓰고 싶었던 물건에서 디자인이 시작되고, 정말로 곁에 둘 만한 물건이 될 때까지 여러 번의 테스트를 거칩니다. 그의 믿음은 단순합니다—일상의 물건은 단순하고, 실용적이며, 오래 쓸 수 있어야 한다는 것. 쉽게 바꾸는 물건이 아니라, 소중히 여기며 오래도록 곁에 두는 물건을 지향합니다.
