Description

The Camellia Celadon Cup by Jisoo Shim captures the soft jade hue and refined curves of Goryeo celadon in a small, graceful form.  A delicate camellia bud motif is hand-carved onto the surface, where light and shadow quietly intertwine as the cup tilts.

Measuring 8.5cm in diameter and 4cm in height, it’s perfectly sized for tea or traditional Korean liquor.  Guided by the philosophy of “beauty in use,” Shim creates pieces meant to be completed through daily life rather than admired from afar.

심스의 동백꽃 잔은 고려청자의 은은한 옥빛과 정제된 곡선미를 담은 작은 잔이에요.  손으로 빚은 형태 위에 동백 봉오리 문양이 새겨져, 잔을 기울일 때마다 빛과 그림자가 고요히 어우러지지요.
