Description
Bibimbap, a beloved Korean dish, is renowned for its rich flavors and vibrant presentation. The secret to its deliciousness lies in the quality of its ingredients. As the trusted purveyor of natural and premium Korean food ingredients for Michelin-starred and fine dining restaurants, Kim’C Market brings the same exceptional quality to your kitchen with our Bibimbap Kit.
Crafted using the very ingredients we supply to top eateries, our Bibimbap Kit offers two delightful options: the Bibimbap Kit with Veggies and the Bibimbap Kit with Mushrooms.
What’s included in Each Kit:
-
Saechungmu Rice: A single origin, single-variety short grain rice grown in Korea. To ensure maximum freshness, Kim’C Market mills this rice to white in New York City. This premium variety boasts a thick, subtly aromatic grain with low protein content, making it perfect for a satisfying meal.
-
Dried Vegetables and Mushrooms: Sourced from Korea’s pristine Jiri Mountain range, these ingredients are cleanly washed and dried to preserve their natural flavors. Ready to cook.
-
Sesame Oil: Adds a nutty, flagrant finish to your dish.
Net weight: 220g (7.8 oz)
Simple cooking instructions:
-
Rinse the rice.
-
Add 2 cups of water to a rice cooker or pot along with dried vegetables. Cook for 15 min until tender.
-
Add sesame oil to the cooked rice and vegetables.
For a more sophisticated preparation:
-
Gently rinse the rice 3-5 times. The first rinse is crucial, so use high-quality or purified water if possible, as the dry rice will absorb it.
-
Add 2 cups of water to a rice cooker or pot along with the dried vegetables. The ideal water-to-rice ratio is 1:1.
-
If using a pot, start cooking on high heat with the lid off. Once it begins to boil, lower the heat and cover the pot with the lid. Cook for 8 minutes.
-
After 8 minutes, turn off the heat and let it steam for an additional 8-10 minutes.
-
Finish by adding sesame oil to the cooked rice and vegetables. Enjoy!
