Health benefits of ‘sam’ or ginseng are widely known.  Many, however, are not familiar with Sanyangsam.  It is a traditional medical herb that farmers grow in mountains or fields after planting wild ginseng or ‘sansam’ seeds.  

Woorido is a sanyangsam grower and R&D company in Pyeongchang, Gangwon Province.  Its sanyangsam grows pesticide-free, fertilizer-free in Pyeongchang known for its clean environment and ideal location as a herb producer.  Sanyangsam Soy Milk uses 100% ground Korean soybeans which blends well with ginseng’s unique bitter taste.

삼이 몸에 좋은 건 널리 알려져 있습니다.  그런데 “산양삼이 뭐지?”라고 궁금해하는 분들이 많으실 거에요.  야생에서 자라는 산삼의 씨나 묘를 산에 심어 재배한 것을 산양삼이라고 합니다.  소개하는 우리두는 농약도, 비료도 사용하지 않고 자연 그대로의 상태에서 자란 산양삼을 주원료로 해서 건강하고 깨끗한 산양삼약콩두유를 만들었어요.  100% 한국산대두를 껍질째 갈아 넣어 콩 고유의 고소한 맛을 느끼실 수 있고 삼 특유의 쓴 맛과 조화롭게 어울리면서 입 안의 즐거움과 건강을 동시에 드립니다.   

About

Woorido is a R&D company located in Pyeongchang Campus of Seoul National University.  Microorganism researcher Jaeyoung Cho realized the benefits and commercialization potentials of sanyangsam once he moved to Pyeongchang.  He first joined a local farming cooperative to learn more about growing the herb.  Now the company grows sanyangsam on a 50-acre field and works to develop business models working for the farming communities in the area.

우리두는 서울대학교 평창캠퍼스 안에 있는 농업회사에요.  미생물 발효 연구자였던 조재영 대표는 연구원으로서 평창으로 옮겨온 뒤 지역 특산물인 산양삼에 주목하게 되었습니다.  평창의 산양삼 영농조합에 가입해서 농민들과 상품화를 준비했고 지금은 평창의 넓다란 대지에서 산양삼을 생산하고 있지요.
