만전김은 서남해안 청정해역 무인도에 위치한 김 양식장에서 옛 방식 그대로 길러냅니다.  바다에 떠다니는 천연 포자를 김발에 자연적으로 착상시킨 후 조수간만 차를 이용해 김발을 뒤집는 방식을 사용합니다.  자연의 힘, 바닷바람과 햇살로만 길러냅니다. 화학 처리는 없습니다. 햇빛과 해풍에 노출해 원초가 건강하고 맛이 뛰어나지요.  이렇게 옛 방식 그대로 길러내려면 수확량도 적고 시간도 오래 걸리는데요. 그만큼 일반 김과는 차이가 큰, 김 고유의 풍부한 맛을 느낄 수 있답니다.
